Volunteer brigades will be set up in Minsk to help tourists and fans coming for the 2nd European Games to navigate the city, Boris Kleshchenko from the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) told reporters answering a question of a BelTA journalist on 10 April.
Volunteers will be deployed at main transportation hubs. The way to sports facilities will also be indicated by billboards. A special application will help navigate urban public transport and special buses meant for the 2nd European Games participants.
Boris Kleshchenko recalled that the website of the games has a special section dedicated to transport. Apart from that, volunteers who will meet accredited client groups will be provided with memos containing answers to possible questions coming from foreigners. “Volunteers will be able to show them the way to hotels and other facilities. Itineraries have been developed with reference to Yandex.Maps,” the specialist said.
The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June. Competitions will be held at 12 sports facilities, including the Dinamo Stadium, Minsk Arena, Chizhovka Arena and the Palace of Sport.
